Developing Successful Content Strategies

Connecting with your audience is crucial. Unfortunately, they're bombarded by information every time they do an online search or look for a product. You need to stand out as their best option, and I'm here to help.

I specialize in developing content strategies that are aligned with your business goals and also optimized for search engines and AI search.

I'll partner with you to enhance your visibility, captivate your audience, and transform your content marketing. Let’s build a content strategy that helps the right clients understand what you offer and why it matters to them.

Kickoff and Audience Research

We start with a strategy kickoff meeting, where we'll talk goals, audience, current processes, resources, and desired outcomes. Once that's completed, I'll begin a thorough analysis of any existing audience research. Understanding the audience is the most important part of any content strategy. If we need additional audience research, I’ll complete it before moving to the other research stages.

Content Analysis

Next up is your content audit and analysis. This is the most labor-intensive portion of any content strategy, but the data acquired during a content audit lays the groundwork for moving forward. I’ll review how your audience is finding your content, look at how you’re currently utilizing SEO and AI search best practices, take note of where your content is performing best, and then I’ll flag areas that need improvement.

Competitor Analysis

Competitor analysis shows us where your competitors’ content succeeds, where it doesn’t, and which audience needs remain unanswered. These findings help identify opportunities for your content to offer something useful and distinct.

Strategy Report and Implementation Plan

Your strategy report is a comprehensive document that contains a summary of all research and analysis, my findings, and strategic recommendations. It includes a detailed implementation plan to help your team roll out the strategy. I'll also include links to any documents created during the strategy research, all databases, report templates, and any other information that will be helpful to your marketing team. Once the strategy is approved, I'll present a summary of my findings and all strategic recommendations in a live meeting so your team can ask any clarifying questions. If needed, I can also provide a video of that presentation so you can share it with other departments.
